According to a third party data tracking service WeiboReach, Sina Weibo acitivity is down by 30% compared to the beginning of 2011.
WeiboReach came to the conclusion by analyzing Sina Weibo accounts with over 10 thousand followers, and found Sina Weibo posts reached two peaks in 2011 and 2012, and went down in the second half of 2012, then stabilized in 2013. In general, Sina Weibo re-posts kept growing steadily.
WeiboReach also said Sina Weibo activity is closely attached to hot topics and important events, so weekends and holidays are at relatively low point. Users on Tuesdays on average are 12% more active than weekends.
