  • Hangzhou: 34.7%
  • Shenzhen: 34.1%
  • Xi’an: 33.3%
  • Jiujiang: 32.3%
  • Tianjin: 31.8%
  • Chengdu: 29.0%
  • Luoyang: 27.0%
  • Zigong: 24.0%
  • Dongguan: 23.3%
  • Handan: 22.0%
  • Harbin: 19.9%
  • Cangzhou: 19.0%

Please note that the 17 cities shown above do not represent a ranking of national online shopping penetration rate; these cities are sampled in online shopping research. The trend is more useful than the absolute numbers.

Online shopping penetration rate: the number of online shoppers (who made at least one purchase online during the past six months) divided by the number of Internet users.
