Tencent launched English version instant messenger some time ago and it has recently launched an English portal for expat netizens – imqq.com. According to Tencent’s latest released data, its QQ instant messenger service reached 80 million simultaneous online users at 8pm on Oct 10, 2009. As China now has about 338 million Internet users (according to CNNIC’s latest report), it means one quarter of total Internet users in China log in QQ messenger at the same time. [...]
