Today is International Children’s Day and an ad is spotted on Baidu’s homepage for the first time as shown in the above screen capture. This text link points to cause marketing campaign by online shoes retailer Letao.
This Letao campaign donates 61,000 pairs of shoes to kids in the rural areas in China. It’s not hard to realize the value of search engine’s homepage and it remains a secret how much Letao paid Baidu for this homepage link.
Letao was founded in 2008 by Sheng Bi who used to work for Baidu as marketing director.
