Baidu reported total revenues of 16.575 billion yuan (US$2.673 billion) for Q2 2015, an increase of 38.3% YoY. Mobile revenue represented 50% of total revenues for Q2 2015.
Baidu’s Online marketing revenues were 16.227 billion yuan (US$2.617 billion), 37.1% increase YoY. Baidu had about 590,000 active online marketing customers in Q2 2015, representing a 20.9% increase YoY and a 12.6% increase QoQ. Revenue per online marketing customer for Q2 2015 was approximately 27,400 yuan (US$4,419).
On July 28th, the stock price of Baidu dropped 15% following the announcement of its unaudited financial results on July 27 2015, which set a record of biggest one-day drop in Baidu’s history since the recovery of the financial crisis.
Baidu expects to generate total revenues ranging from 18.170 billion yuan (US$2.931 billion) to 18.580 billion ($2.997 billion) for the third quarter of 2015, representing a 34.4% to 37.4% year-over-year increase. The earnings per share and other outlooks were lower than expected, and Baidu would invest more in order to continue to maintain a high growth rate.
