The transaction volume of China’s smartphone market reached 98.9 million in Q2 2015 according to iiMedia. Xiaomi, Huawei and iPhone led the market.
In Q2 2015, Xiaomi, Huawei and iPhone led the market, accounting for 16.6%, 15.9% and 11.2% market share respectively. Vivo, Oppo and Meizu maintained a significant growth rate in this quarter. With the prosperity of Chinese domestic smartphone brands, iPhone could no longer dominate China market.
Android and iOS made up of over 96% of smartphone operating systems in China. Android accounted for 85.2% and iOS 11.2%.
In terms of smartphone subscribers, China’s smartphone users reached 1.52% quarter on quarter to 601 million. And the shipment of smartphones in 2015 was predicted to be only 1.2%.
In the first half of 2015, the online orders of China’s smartphones made a further increase to 22.7% of total sales. Driven by the excellent performance of China’s domestic smartphone manufacturers, such as Xiaomi, Huawei and Meizu, more and more smartphone manufacturers would test the pre-order model working with China’s leading e-commerce platforms such as Tmall and JD.com
High satisfactory level of consumers contributed to the future products and marketing of companies; and, good product performance and post-sales service could build a high satisfactory experience. While some manufacturers focused only on marketing, ignoring sufficient attention to product quality and post-sales, which resulted in poor customer satisfaction. In Q2 2015, iPhone, Huawei, Xiaomi and Vivo had a certain increase on the degree of customer satisfaction. Users satisfaction towards Samsung mobile phones was for a long time at a low level. To maintain a fruitful shipment in the future, Samsung had a long road to go.
