China had 1.51 billion units active smart devices in Q2 2018, a growth of 4.1%. The domestic brands accounted for 69% of the total smart devices, 95% of which are Android devices. Check out the top brands and market shares.
The top 10 smart devices ranking didn't change in this quarter. Apple still took the leading position with a share of 27.71% while Oppo was the top Android vendor with a share of 13.66%. Xiaomi saw a rise of 2.55% compared with the previous quarter.
Smart devices priced between 2,000 (US$293.68) and 3,999 yuan (US$587.22) took the largest share (43%) of the total, which was also the pricing of key Android smartphone models.
99% of Apple models priced above 2,000 yuan while 70% of Android smartphones priced under 2,000 yuan.
