China's online hotel booking market had 91.09 million monthly active users (MAU) in Q2 2018, an increase of 20.1% quarter-on-quarter, setting a record high since 2016. There are around 20 million newly added users, 70% of them came from tier-3 cities and below.
Of the total, over 50% of them were from tier-3 cities and below. Lower tier cities are potential to bring new opportunities for online hotel booking platforms.
