Baidu announced its third quarter finance report recently, revealing its Q3 total revenue reached 8.89 billion yuan (USD 1.453 billion), 42.3% more than Q3 2012. Its net profit reached 3.05 billion yuan (USD 498 million).
Baidu app average daily distribution reached 80 million, and Baidu active mobile search users were over 130 million. Its mobile search, LBS, app distribution and mobile video businesses grew rapidly. Baidu CEO Robin Li said that the growth of mobile search revenue was especially exciting, and mobile search, map and other core businesses kept growing. The purchase of 91 wireless secured mobile app distribution.
Besides, Baidu online marketing revenue reached 8.85 billion yuan (USD 1.446 billion), with a 41.7% YoY increase. In Q3 2013, the number of Baidu active online marketing customers was 464,000, 0.9% less than Q2 and 19% more than 2012.
Baidu operating profit reached 3.34 billion yuan (USD 545 million), growing 1.2% more than 2012, and its operating profit rate was 38% in Q3 2013.
Baidu estimated its total revenue in Q4 was between 9.22 billion yuan (USD 1.51 billion) and 9.48 billion yuan (USD 1.55 billion).
