According to Enfodesk, iReader remained the leader in among mobile app clients not operated by Chinanet, with 15.1% share, climbing a little compared to last quarter.
The fast rising apps in the first quarter of 2013 are QQ Reader, Tadu and Yuncheng.
QQ Reader surpassed 91 PandaReader in this quarter, having gained user recognition with several changes. Besides, mainly due to Tencent’s large user base, QQ Reader soon accumulated a handsome number of users, which is expected to replace iReader in the near future. QQ Reader is going to focus on original literature and cultivating its own writers this year.
Tadu jumped up from the fifth to the fourth in Q1, due to strong distribution channel and large inputs in third parties. Besides, its continuous investment in online original literature has paid off, attracted lots of readers with its high quality articles.
Yuncheng moved from the eighth to sixth in Q1. Cloudary, the largest online original literature website, is the key drive for user grow. Yuncheng mobile app was quickly accepted by users.
According to Enfodesk analysis, mobile reader market hasn’t formed yet, and will change greatly in the future. And pre-installed app promotion is still very important for manufacturers. iReader and tadu both invest a great deal on pre-install app promotion, which had a obvious success in market share. However, QQ Reader, tadu and yuncheng are going to show huge growing potential with high quality content.
