Word said that Alibaba’s evaluation grew 9.8% because of the Q4 good financial performance in 2013. According to Bloomberg’s data, Alibaba’s evaluation reached $168 billion, in that way, Alibaba would surpass Amazon’s market value. Carlos Kirjner, Sanford Bernstein’s analyst, claimed that Alibaba’s evaluation was too conservative and suggested to increase Alibaba Group’s evaluation to $245 billion.

Shanghai Free Trade Zone officially launched cross-border e-commerce platform kuajingtong.com on December 28, 2013. It is the first cross-border e-commerce enterprises granted by Chinese government as the government supports cross-border shopping.
According to Andy Yeung, an analyst in Oppenheimer, whose report on November 11 2013 showed that China B2C YoY increase rate was 50% in Q3, much lower than 82% growth rate in Q2 and 96% in Q1 2013.
China B2C 3C market reached 57.22 billion yuan (USD 9.33 billion), 35.2% of total B2C market. YoY increase rate was 63.9%, and QoQ increase was 9.5%.
According to Enfodesk, China B2C market reached 162.4 billion yuan (USD 26.47 billion) in Q3 2013, with a 3% QoQ increase and a 50% YoY increase.
