In December 2021, the total retail sales of social consumer goods in China were 4,054.2 billion yuan, a decrease of 1.8 percent compared to the previous year. Retail sales of consumer goods, excluding automobiles, totaled 3,543.8 billion yuan, a decrease of 2.6 percent.
