Beijing Jingdong Century Trading Co., Ltd. (JD.com) ranked first with 651.9 billion yuan of online retail sales in 2020, followed by Suning Yigou Group Co., Ltd. with 230.2 billion yuan, and Guangzhou Vipshop Information Technology Co., Ltd. entered the top three with 97.4 billion yuan of network sales.
The Top 12 are from a Top 100 ranking jointly released by China Chain Store Association and Deloitte China on 25 May 2021.
Among the top 100 enterprises by online retail sales in 2021, 7 are e-commerce companies, and the number of non-e-commerce enterprises is 9.4% higher than that of last year.
There are 51 consumer goods companies, accounting for 22.1% of the total online sales of the Top 100; and 42 non-e-commerce retail enterprises account for 6.2% of the total.
In 2020, the proportion of physical online retail sales in the total retail sales of social consumer goods increased by 4.2%, compared with that in 2019, to 24.9%. In 2021, the Top 100 will reach a total online retail sales of 1.47 trillion yuan, an increase of 18.5% YoY. China online retail sales up 27.6% in the first four months of 2021
Estee Lauder China’s online sales reached 9.96 billion yuan (US$1.53 billion) in 2020, ranking 13th on the Top 100 list. Adidas China’s online sales hit 7 billion yuan (US$1.07 billion).
